Hair Nourishment Programme (GFC)
Thinning hair often starts quietly: a wider parting, more scalp showing under bright light, a ponytail that feels lighter. If the follicles are still there, they can often be supported before the hair is lost for good.
GFC (Growth Factor Concentrate) is our PRP treatment for hair loss in Bangkok. We take a small sample of your blood, concentrate the platelets and the growth factors they carry, then inject them into the thinning areas of your scalp. It suits early to moderate thinning in men and women, on its own or alongside a hair transplant.

- About 30 to 45 minutes per session
- A course of 3 to 5 sessions, 4 to 6 weeks apart
- Back to your day straight afterwards
- Priced per session or as a 5-session course
Is GFC right for you?
It suits you if:
- Your hair is thinning, but the area still has hair, for example at the crown, the parting or across the top
- You'd like to protect your existing hair before or after a hair transplant
- You'd rather not rely on medication alone, or want something to use alongside it
- You're a woman with thinning hair, where GFC is often one of the first treatments we suggest
It isn't for you if:
- The area is already bald. GFC works on living follicles, so a transplant is the option there.
- You have certain blood or platelet disorders, an active scalp infection, or take medicines that affect clotting. Your doctor will check this first.
We check all of this at your consultation. If GFC isn't likely to help, we'll tell you, and explain what might.

What happens at a session
Scalp check.
Your doctor looks at the thinning areas and plans where to inject.
Blood sample.
We take a small amount of blood from your arm, much like a routine blood test.
Concentration.
Your blood is spun in the Minos PRP system, which separates and concentrates the platelets.
Injection.
Your doctor injects the GFC into the thinning areas at a set depth. Gentle vibration and a massage are used to ease the injections, and numbing cream is available if you ask for it.
Done.
You can go back to your day straight afterwards.
Each session takes about 30 to 45 minutes.
Results
GFC works on the follicles over months, not days. Results vary from person to person.
| When | What to expect |
|---|---|
| During the course | Nothing dramatic yet. The growth factors are working on the follicles. |
| After 3 to 5 sessions | Many people notice less shedding and hair that looks thicker. |
| 6 to 12 months | The fullest result, for those who respond. |
| After that | Maintenance sessions every 4 to 6 months help keep the result. |
Your doctor reviews your progress during the course and adjusts the plan if needed.
Patient results
Our own patients, treated and photographed at our clinic with their consent. Every result depends on the patient's own hair and how it responds.
Price
GFC is priced per session, or as a course of 5 sessions. Ask us about both, and your doctor will suggest which suits your plan. After a hair transplant, GFC may also be recommended at set points to support your existing hair.

How GFC works
What are growth factors?
Growth factors are proteins your body uses to repair and renew tissue. Platelets in your blood carry them, including PDGF, VEGF and EGF. Delivered into the scalp, they support blood supply to the follicles and help weak, thinning hairs grow stronger and thicker.
Why concentration matters
We use the Minos PRP system from South Korea. It concentrates platelets to 12 to 17 times their level in your blood (manufacturer figure), so more growth factors reach each follicle in a single session.
Is GFC safe?
GFC uses your own blood, prepared in a closed system, which keeps the risk of infection very low. We have no record of infection from GFC at our clinic.
What the evidence says
Studies of PRP for pattern hair loss show improvements in hair density and thickness for many patients, though results vary from person to person. That's why we review your progress during the course, rather than promise a set outcome.
Before your session
- Avoid anti-inflammatory painkillers such as ibuprofen and aspirin, and steroids, for a month before, unless they're prescribed. Check with us first, and don't stop any prescribed medicine on your own.
- Avoid alcohol for a week before.
- Drink plenty of water the day before and on the day.
- Tell us about every medication, supplement and allergy.
After your session
- Don't use hair products for at least 6 hours.
- Avoid swimming, saunas and steam rooms for 2 days.
- Avoid alcohol, smoking and caffeine for 3 days.
Normal healing
These side effects of PRP for hair loss are part of normal healing and usually settle within a day or two:
- Tenderness or a mild ache where the injections went in
- Slight redness or swelling on the scalp
- A mild headache on the day
- A small bruise where the blood was taken
Contact us straight away if you have severe pain, swelling that keeps getting worse, or signs of infection such as heat or discharge.

GFC questions
Yes. GFC (Growth Factor Concentrate) is our PRP treatment. The name reflects the higher concentration of growth factors from the Minos system.
The injections sting briefly. Gentle vibration and a massage are used throughout to ease them, and numbing cream is available if you ask. Most people find it very manageable.
Usually a course of 3 to 5 sessions, 4 to 6 weeks apart, then maintenance every 4 to 6 months. Your doctor will suggest a plan for your hair.
Many people notice less shedding and thicker-looking hair after 3 to 5 sessions. The fullest result usually shows at 6 to 12 months. Results vary from person to person.
No. GFC works on follicles that are still alive. On an area that's already bald, a hair transplant is the option.
Yes, and it's often recommended. A transplant moves hair to thinning areas, while GFC and medication help protect the hair you already have.
GFC uses your own blood, prepared in a closed system, so the risk of reactions or infection is very low. We have no record of infection from GFC at our clinic. Your doctor checks your medical history first.
Yes. GFC is often one of the first treatments we suggest for women with thinning hair. We treat female hair loss with medication, GFC, laser treatments or, in some cases, a hair transplant. Female hair loss is more complex, so speak to a doctor about your options.
No. You can go back to your day straight afterwards. Just avoid hair products for 6 hours, and swimming or saunas for 2 days.
The benefit fades gradually, which is why maintenance sessions every 4 to 6 months are recommended.
Per session, or as a course of 5 sessions. Ask us about both at your free online consultation.
Ask if GFC suits you
Send us photos of your hairline, crown and parting. A doctor will look at them and tell you whether GFC is likely to help, how many sessions you might need, and the price. Online consultations are free.
